Should you decide to pick up a copy, you’ll quickly learn why it took three years to complete, including numerous trips to little known places in Russia and the Ukraine, and hundreds of personal interviews.

If you look at the Amazon bar graph you’ll notice a “one-star” rating. Normally, I’d say you can’t please everyone, all the time. But this one’s a bit bizarre to see in print. “Purchased this book for a friend. Recommended by her travel agency. Ignore the rating since I’ve never read it. Thank you.”
